Getting emotional support is the best step a person can take towards optimal living. In the right environment, one can feel comfortable to express themselves and uncover areas that may be at the root of their suffering. My ultimate goal as a therapist is to help women and teens release unspoken burdens and embrace authentic living through holistic therapy and wellness services.

My professional background is eclectic and offers a varied lens from which I see the world. I started my career as a fashion model in NYC. Despite great success, I was drawn to a mission that felt more impactful within my immediate community. I started out volunteering in a local school. That led to 16 years within education, eventually retiring as a student assistant counselor in Newark, NJ.
I went on to open my own private practice in the form of Raney Wellness Services. As a lifelong student, the training I've received both formally and informally has served my function as a clinician. I received my Masters degree in Counseling from Seton Hall University. I'm currently a doctoral candidate in Counseling & Supervision at Kean University as well. I received specialized training in teaching mindfulness meditation to students from the Mindful Schools program. In addition, I am a Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) - Level 1 trainee with the Mindfulness Center at Brown University.
I am licensed in the state of New Jersey as a Licensed Professional Counselor (37AC00249600). I operate my private practice both virtually & in-person out of my office in Maplewood, NJ. If you have any questions or would like to set up an appointment please schedule a free consultation here. I look forward to working with you.
